Mission: To support a museum devoted to procurement, care and display of objects of lasting interest or value for charitable and educational purposes.
Programs: The objective of the thomas kinkade museum is to conserve the art and artifacts of thomas kinkade, to educate the public about the art and life of thomas kinkade, as well as art in general, to exhibit the art of thomas kinkade both as a site run by the kinkade museum and at museums around the world, and to provide grants to other charitable organizations in furtherance of the arts. Chile art camp, june - nov 2016centro abierto santa adriana (open center of saint adriana), located in santiago, chile, is a community center in a neighborhood afflicted by poverty and economic instability. It started as a center for mothers to have a safe space and receive various training and workshops. Today, the center is used daily by more than 100 mothers, seniors, and children at social risk between 5 and 17 years old. Winsor kinkade, in collaboration with the kinkade family foundation, implemented an art program at santa adriana. Winsor worked as an art teacher for ages 6-14 giving instruction through various art mediums on the fundamentals of art and design such as color theory, pattern, balance, contrast, unity, value, and texture. Winsor encouraged the students passion for art, along with exploring their individual self-acceptance and creative expression. Now, there are many opportunities for these kids and their families to be active participants in society and realize their vast capabilities. In an effort to unite our passion for art with human rights, the kinkade family foundation implemented a biannual art program (once in july & once in december) to take place at casa generacion in lima, peru. In our events in los gatos and carmel, we combined a fundraising event with a curated exhibit of thomas kinkades original art. For this reason, we had guests attend the event solely for the excitement of viewing the exhibition as well as to support our causes. The kinkade family foundation was able to connect with its community and share with them the impact that the current programing and exhibiting has made and the goals for what the organization hopes to accomplish in the future. These events generated new relationships and strengthened existing relationships in our community.
