The Acting Conservatory offers rigorous professional theatre training in close partnership with the working artists at The Studio Theatre. This pairing allows students to develop their craft in a challenging and encouraging environment and to learn from the real-world experience of their instructors. Programs: The Studio Theatre serves around 75,000 audience members through 11 productions every year. To date, the Studio has produced the works of more than 100 theatre artists and employed more than 200 theatre professionals. The Studio Theatre Acting Conservatory trains over 600 students by 19 instructors in 67 classes in three 15-session semesters. The Studio Theatre serves the diverse communities of Washington, DC through two major outreach initiatives: "Arts Motivating Youth" (A.M.Y.) and the "Studio District".Arts Motivating Youth inspires young people to greater achievement through the experience of theatre as acting students, audience members and professional theatre artists and administrators.
