Mission: The storehouse of collin county provides consistent and generous support to families requiring vital necessities and enriching experiences and seeks to walk alongside them until the need is no more.
Programs: Seven loaves food pantry currently provides supplemental food to individuals and families based on the texas commodity assistance program (texcap) guidelines. In 2017, 11,466 family units comprised of 39,643 adults, children and seniors from collin county/ north dallas were served over 91 service dates.
project hope serves women 18 years or older in crisis who, with transformational assistance, can fulfill their need of becoming self-sufficient and improve the lives of their families. Project hopes mission is to eliminate hopelessness by providing a grace filled program of coaching, training, education, and opportunity to women in crisis who desire a safe and sustainable quality of life. The program focuses on seven areas: family, faith, education, career, budget, health and counseling and provided services to 250 individuals in 2017. Personal growth plans are established, coaches are assigned to help the participant reach her goals, and accountability checks insure that every effort is being made on the part of the participant, the coaches and the program to relieve the immediate crisis as well as to support future development.
josephs coat distributes new and gently used clothing and household goods to clients of seven loaves pantry. In 2017, over 40,540 items were distributed by volunteers over 4 distribution days each month. The value of the donated items was in excess of $162,160. Additionally, 1049 backpacks filled with school supplies and 602 childrens coats were distributed.
