Causes: Arts & Culture, Historical Organizations
Mission: The organization preserves and restores historic structures at fort hancock, sandy hook, new jersey, and promotes the educational, artistic and recreational facilities at gateway national recreation area.
Programs: The organization is the offical friends group of the national park service, dedicated to nurturing and protecting sandy hook's natural, cultural and historic resources. In 2017, the organization held nine free summer concerts with thousands of visitors per concert. Funds were used to continue various programs including climate change, observation deck, multi-use path, museum collection, and lighthouse challenge. Restoration efforts continued working on the history house and also the lighthouse keepers quarters.
