Nonprofit Overview
Mission: Our mission is to foster an awareness and appreciation of the natural world through preservation, restoration, and education.
Target demographics: foster an awareness of the natural world through preservation, restoration, and education
Direct beneficiaries per year: over 400 summer campers, more than 10,000 area children that visited The Nature Institute during field trips, and successfully recreated natural habitat including the 60 acre Heartland Prairie.
Geographic areas served: the St. Louis Metro East region
Programs: Discovery Day Camp for children pre-kindergarten through 6th grade, Knee-High Naturalists for children between the ages of three to five, the TNI Astronomy Association, guided trail hikes through our 450 acres of protected land and environmental assistance to the city and private land owners.
