Mission: The mentoring center exists to move all youth, whatever challenges they are facing, toward healthy, successful lives, by providing support, love and opportunities for self-mastery.
Programs: The west oakland youth center (woyc) provides west oakland youth with programs and activities that support their healthy development. Located in the hoover district of west oakland, the woyc serves youth from 16 - 25 through a variety of employment and workforce development, health and wellness, arts and media and mentoring and life coaching programs.
adult case management program provides intensive case management services to young adults centered on an intensive relationship building process through coaching/mentoring, careful coordination of wrap-around community services, systems navigation and advocacy, increased family engagement, pre-release planning when possible, and use of stipends for milestone achievement.
emerge is an educational reentry program for girls and young women in alameda county who are returning to school from a condition of confinement. Emerge is a healing and supportive environment that provides opportunity for accelerated credit recovery and college and career readiness.
