Programs: Mental health education - delivered presentations and print material to educate the community about mental health wellness and how to access prompt, appropriate care for mental illness

mental health advocacy - assisted individuals and their families and/or supporters with needs related to mental health concern by providing information related to treatment and supporting services; participated in mental health planning with formal county and state agencies to advocate for the mental health needs of the organization's tri-county service area (cumberland, dauphin, perry counties); assisted mental health consumers in developing mental health advanced directives.

consumer projects - collaborated with tri-county community support programs (csp), a coalition comprised of consumers of mental health services, family members, providers, advocates, and community members to create opportunities for education, advocacy, and public awareness.

mental health literacy provided formal trainings, including healthy abcs and youth mental health first aid to train the public in recognizing the signs of mental illness and how to assist someone in distress or who may be experiencing a mental health crisis.

supported employment programs - provided oversight and direct supervision of the staff of cumberland/perry community support program (csp) and consumer/family satisfaction teams (cfst). Each program employs consumers of mental health services. Csp serves as a resource for individuals living with a mental health diagnosis. Cfst is tasked with surveying individuals receiving county-funded mental health services in an effort to assess quality, efficiency, and consumer satisfaction.
