Causes: Crime & Law
Mission: The Kempe Foundation will increase awareness, engage in advocacy and secure and provide resources for the prevention and treatment of child abuse.
Results: Increased direct services to children by 13.5% over FY09.
Target demographics: Kempe hosts innovative programs that treat abused and neglected children (from birth to age 18), train professionals and research treatment methods to help and heal the most children.
Direct beneficiaries per year: Provided direct services for 796 children in 40 Colorado counties. Trained and educated 6,336 individuals with over 22,288 “people training hours” provided. These were direct contact presentations at workshops, university classes, job sites, community locations, and national and international conferences.
