Causes: Human Services, Residential Care & Adult Day Programs
Mission: Humanitarian aid and missionary work
Programs: Humanitarian aid and missionary work: we are currently building schools, drilling clean water wells and furnishing sanitary facilities in myanmar. Through the end of 2016, the trust has built 16 schools, drilled 61 wells and built over 1,000 sanitary facilities(outhouses)in outlying areas of myanmar. To the extent possible, villagers are involved in the building or drilling process so that they have ownership in the projects and they will be able to maintain them. At present the community developement association of myanmar provides engineers for our projects. We pay the expenses of the engineers. All buildings are constructed to government standards. At the completion of each project a representative of the trust travels to myanmar to personally inspect the project. Once the schools are completed the schools are staffed by college trained teachers provided by the government, or if the school is built for a monastery then the college trained teachers are provided by the monastery. All schools are still fully operational. We estimate that at the end of 2016 our efforts in myanmar have easily benefitted 20,000 people in that country. Our motto is "helping others help themselves".
