My personal experience with this foundation was terrible. When I picked up my puppy, the man who brought him knew nothing about him - food, habits, health, training, temperament, etc. When I brought him home, it was apparent that his GI system was already infested with worms and he was developing kennel cough. I immediately called the director and received no response. Giving her the benefit of the doubt, I decided to give her a chance to respond - and nothing. I had to call her four consecutive times before she responded, at which time she told me this was normal and she would bring me dewormer the next day. All day I called and heard nothing back, until in the evening when I called five times and heard a firm "what" upon her answering, when she then told me that everything was closed and she would have to get it to me the next day, which she did.
Fast forward to attempting to have my puppy neutered and booster shots done... I emailed the vet to set an appointment and was told they could not bill the foundation for any other procedures until they paid off their bill. I did his shots myself and called the vet a month later to try to set the neuter appointment, when I was told the bill still hadn't been paid and procedures could not be done. I called the director, who of course did not answer at first. When she finally did, she told me that she would "take care of it" and get me an appointment. I agreed to this, and she told me she had gotten him an appointment for the following Friday. However, upon calling the vet the day before his appointment, I was told that there was no record of an appointment for my puppy. Luckily, they still had an open spot, so I brought him in the next day. After dropping him off, I was again told that the bill had not been paid and asked to pay out of pocket for the procedure.
I called both numbers I had for the director and both went straight to voicemail. Upon calling her son, who had originally dropped my puppy off to me, he stated that "she has never not followed through with these things." After two hours of calling back and forth, the vet's office told me the neuter and rabies shot had finally been authorized.
Please, do not adopt a dog from this "rescue." They truck loads of dogs to other states, charging much more money than they do in Texas and it is ridiculously difficult to work with them.
