Mission: Founded in 1990, the education foundation of collier county is an independent not-for-profit 501(c)( 3) organization whose purpose is to make it possible for our community to impact lives by enriching the environment for student learning through educators and with students.
Programs: Community engagement:community engagement strategies promote community-based collaboration, innovation and sharing of resources. There are many opportunities, such as roundtables, through which the community comes together to support a culture of learning. Volunteer engagement is a key strategy to provide a range of opportunities for involvement of more than 800 volunteers to support the success of students and teachers. Facilitating a collaborative network of more than 60 organizations working together, future ready collier strategically aligns and leverages resources to achieve community-wide goals to support the overall success of students and families resulting in a 10% increase in fafsa completion rate year-over-year.
student programs:student programs foster real-world learning opportunities for students and families and help them gain the skills and vision to achieve their future goals. Volunteer-based programs include take stock in children scholarship and mentoring program and the real world learning model / college & career prep program. Community-based programming and outreach initiatives support students throughout collier county around specific tasks such as college and scholarship applications, and fafsa completion. grants and scholarships:investing in the innovation of educators is a key strategy to support the success of educators and schools. Grant programs funded 166 innovative ideas, impacting 107 teachers and 43 schools via classroom-based grants, school-based grants and grants with a particular content purpose.
