Mission: Our mission is to harness Utah’s entrepreneurial spirit in service to the common good through smart philanthropy. Our vision is to be a driving force in improving Utah’s future by facilitating innovative approaches to social problems.
Programs: The community foundation of utah isn't simply a foundation. Our vision is to be a driving force in improving utah's future. We help gather both the assets and the ideas that will serve utah for good and forever. In short, we are a catalyst for philanthropy that is visionary, sustainable, inclusive and engaged. Our initatives are innovative and ambitous-like the entrepreneunal spirit that permeates utah. We bring together the energies and ideas of social and for profit entrepreneurs in groundbreaking ways, like 'speed mentoring', the utah social enterprise collaborative and the social investors forum. Our 24 hour statewide day of giving, love ut give ut, raises more than a million dollars for utah nonprofits, schools and universities each year. Our chautauqua and convening activites encourage civic dialoque, community learning, and innovative problem solving. We are a trusted, neutral intermediary. We partner with universities to give the next generation of leaders the opportunity to create real change, right here in utah. Our scholarships have given dozens of promising students the opportunity to live to their fullest potential. We use mission related investments and the utah fund to bring capital to promising ventures that have a social and financial return. In six short years, our foundation and its donors have made more than 11 million in grants to support causes closest to their hearts, here in utah and around the globe.
