Mission: The Commission Project fosters creativity through music education by bringing students together with professional musicians in schools and communities nationwide. With schools focusing on "teaching to the test", little or no time is left for children to engage in creative learning opportunities. By bringing professional composers into schools to work directly with students, TCP programs make music a cornerstone of learning that leads to personal growth, constructive self-expression, and responsible adulthood. TCP programs enrich and strengthen existing music programs thereby attracting more students and developing future classical music and jazz audiences.
