There are many foundations and organizations that fund cancer research. But, until a cure is found, cancer patients are on their own to deal with the stresses of life while undergoing treatment. Medical bills pile up. Chemo makes them too weak to go to work. The Caring Community Foundation fills a unique role in a cancer patient's life... helping to remove financial stresses like rent, mortgage, utility bills, transportation costs, etc., thereby allowing the patient to concentrate on healing. I have volunteered for this organization for over 10 years. I am proud of the careful use of funds, the vast network of volunteers driving the organization, and the financial help we are able to give. I am also a cancer survivor, and know how much this help can mean to someone battling cancer.
