Programs: Domestic program: works with women and their partners in need of counseling and assistance for unplanned pregnancies - pregnancy counselors are available 24/7; provides support, guidance and counseling for birth parents and their families throughout their lives; cares for infants in the foster care program; places infants and older children with adoptive parents; provides training, support and education to adoptive parents throughout the adoption process.

international program: hague accredited program works directly with 4 different countries to place children with adoptive parents in the u. S. A. ; actively locates families for children with special needs through china's waiting children program; provides services to adoptive parents; provides humanitarian aid to orphanages to improve living conditions for the children.

project wait no longer: works with couples and single individuals regardless of race, sexual identity and marital status to assist them with the adoption of older children between the ages of 6-17, from the foster care system. Partners with our local departments of social services in md, va and dc as well as across the united states in this effort. Provides 24-hours of training, adoption home study and individualized consultation, referral of children, pre-placement support and lifelong access to barker's department of family and post-adoption services.

family and post adoption: worked with over 400 clients, including assisting adoptees searching for their birth parents or providing them with medical/genetic background information; facilitating reunions between birth parents and adoptees; counseling, education and support for adoptees, adoptive families and birth parents; and conducting support groups and workshops for all members of the adoption circle.
