Mission: The mission of the arc-solano is to promote the greatest personal growth, community understanding, and full participation of people with developmental disabilities and their families through support, education and advocacy.
Programs: Act or alternatives in curriculum and training, is a facility based behavioral day program that has been in operation since 1986. The curriculum to help adults with developmental disabilities manage their behaviors more effectively includes: social skill and emotional skills training as well as community outings and pre-vocational skills training. By the close of the 2016/17 fiscal year, the arc-solano served 25 persons in this program.
tds or tailored day services is a part-time community based program that assists adults with developmental disabilities with volunteerism, work readiness and higher education. This program began in 2014. We volunteer at a variety of non-profits and government agencies throughout solano county. By the close of the 2016/17 fiscal year, the arc-solano serviced 24 persons in this program.
ts or transitional services which is the independent living skills services began in 1976. This services continues to provide support to adults with developmental disabilities who which to live more independently. Areas of assistance include health, housing and money management. By the close of the 2016/17 fiscal year, the arc-solano was currently serving 66 persons in this program.
