Mission: Since 1951, The Arc of the South Shore has helped more than 85,000 individuals with disabilities live their best lives and achieve high-quality outcomes. We are a family oriented, community-based non-profit and offer information, referrals, and a range of community programs across the South Shore of Massachusetts. Our 15 Board members, 228 employees, and more than 200 volunteers are all committed to our mission of empowering families and individuals of all ages with disabilities to reach their fullest potential. We achieve this by providing high quality, individualized services and opportunities that foster independence, community inclusion, and advocacy.

Direct beneficiaries per year: Last year we helped 3,500 children and adults with cognitive, physical, and other intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Geographic areas served: We serve families and individuals on the South Shore of Massachusetts.
Programs: Our range of programming supports and empowers individuals throughout their lifespan, from our Autism Resource Center to early intervention services for children and day habilitation and community based programming, employment services, residential homes, and personal care supports for adults.
