Mission: To lessen the burdens of government and to promote and support cultural, recreational and human services needs of the town of apple valley.
Programs: Concerts in the courtyard - this program is a unique arrangement with shopping center owner lewis retail to offer concerts in their shopping center courtyard thursday evenings in september and may. Typically there are a totally of 9 bands and a total of 1,800 attendees. Their donation fully covers hard costs of the event including entertainment and advertising. The town contributes staff time.
military banners - this program honors active duty military personnel serving in war zones. Banners with names and branches of service are installed in the town hall parking lot during their tour of duty, and presented to the soldier upon his or her safe return.
equine extravaganza - help preserve the equestrian heritage of the town of apple valley by showcasing equestrian lifestyle. Horse owners and admirers enjoy riding demonstrations, clinics, and vendors that are all about horses. This event has more than doubled in size since its inception. There were approximately 2,000 attendees for the event.
sunset concert series - this program has become one of the most anticipated summer programs for the citizens of the town of apple valley. During the year approximately 7 different bands thrilled the citizens of apple valley with various concerts to help meet the cultural arts needs of the town. In all a total of approximately 10,000 people attended the various concerts. Of particular note was the diversity of the people in attendance - from teens to seniors to young families. A number of seniors and the development disabled brought their residents each week for a free social outing as well.
