The residential staff helps the children resolve pasttraumas and develop new skills to manage emotions and solve problems. Tennyson center also offers short-term stabilization services tochildren and families during a mental health or behavioral crisis inthe special services unit when an inpatient admission is not required.

education and day treatment- tennyson center for children's daytreatment program serves children who live at home but may need moreindividualized schooling as they recover from abuse or neglect, or theymay have mental health or developmental issues. Tennyson centeroperates a kindergarten through 12th grade school that is approved bythe colorado department of education and accredited by advanced, anaccreditation that promotes the learning, growth and development ofchildren.

community based family services- tennyson center for children'scommunity-based services (cbs) are intensive in-home programs providingtherapeutic services in the child's home and community between two andthirty hours per week. This program serves the entire family andfocuses on emotional and behavioral challenges, mental health concerns,case management, family preservation, reunification and preventingout-of-home placements. Tennyson center's cbs team also offersbilingual, culturally-relevant services to spanish-speaking families. Tennyson center's cbs is also piloting two satellite offices, one in el paso county and one in weld county.
