Mission: The ttca strives to make the temescal telegraph community a better place to live, work, and shop. Ttca creates a sense of place through projects that improve the community and increase pride and participation.
Programs: Prowso - public right of way and sidewalk operations - cleaning team maintained the streetscape with litter removal, sweeping, power washing, and graffiti removal, 2-3 times a week throughout the district. Secured 170,000 from developers to fund 13 additional pedestrian lights to be installed in the district. Continued improving landscaping and maintenance of 40th st medians & 101 planters.
marketing & events: produced the 14th annual temescal street fair, 2nd annual 40th street block party, temescal street flicks, taste of temescal, halloween event, plaid friday weekend and holiday fair. Initiated a food truck pilot program to create a temporary weekly pedestrian plaza in the heart of the district. Expanded promotion of temescal businesses and events through daily engaging facebook posts, twitter, instagram and district advertising. Redesigned the bid's website.
identity enhancement: installed december holiday decorations, maintained year-round lighting on 15 street trees, installed rotating banners across telegraph ave and hired holiday security. Decorated 14 utility boxes with art in partnership with local artists. Supported an artist in installing a large mural on building along a heavily trafficked road. Created temescal art map showcasing 97 pieces of public art
