Mission: Teatro del pueblo promotes latino culture through the creation and presentation of performing arts by: * developing and supporting latino artists * providing educational opportunities for all people to experience latino culture, * and promoting cross-cultural dialogue
Programs: Teatro hallmark programs: 1. Coco's latinidad - radio live radio show - produced coco's latinida: a latino thanksgiving at the creative arts theater in st. Paul. This live radio program is a cross between sln and prairie home companion radio show. It content was inspired by community circles gathered through story circles. 2. The co-presentation of teatro candelaria's production of soma in collaboration with the university of minnesota' iberoamerican studies series. It part of the theater company's political theater series. 3. Teatro's elder theater program at plaza labor. The program aims at bringing elders and muligenerational families to share their stories through theatrical exercises and performance.
