Mission: The longmont community justice partnership (lcjp) provides restorative justice to residents in and around longmont, colorado. Program values include respect, responsibility, relationship, repair, and reintegration.
Programs: The community restorative justice program works in conjunction with the longmont police department and other criminal justice agencies to work with victims and offenders to successfully repair the harm of crime and conflict. Re-offense rates for offenders who successfully complete restorative justice processes average only 10%. Over 1,000 people benefited from this program during 2012.
the restorative practice in schools program is a restorative alternative to expulsion, suspension, and other school discipline issues for students, families, schools, staff, and the greater community when expulsion is not required by state law. Over 200 people benefited from this program during 2011.
the justice assistance grant funded project contracts with lcjp to promote and advance restorative justice and working partnerships between federal, state, and local agencies through the colorado council on restorative justice to prevent and control crime and reduce recidivism rates. Over 100 people benefited from this program during 2012.
