Mission: Tallahassee Collie Rescue, Inc. was founded in January 1998, to prevent cruelty to animals, with a special interest in Collies and Collie-mixes. The organization provides humane care for dogs that have been abused, neglected, abandoned, or displaced, and finds them permanent homes. We also strive to promote public awareness of the plight of homeless animals, responsible pet ownership (sterilization, tagging and micro-chipping, obedience training, pet health and nutrition, etc.); and public awareness of the contributions animals make to the human world (pet therapy programs, service dog programs, and the Link between animal cruelty and domestic violence).
