Mission: Our mission to provide pathways to lifelong learning in science for children and adults through exhibits, programs and hands on exploration.
Results: T-rex Science Center a nonprofit museum and discovery center staffed entirely by volunteers dedicated to bringing the fascinating world of dinosaurs and other natural history subjects such as space and astronomy to Charleston, West Virginia and beyond. There are 26,000 square feet of exhibits including 25 museum style replica life size dinosaur skeletons, fleshed out models, 2 dozen large replica dinosaur skulls over 100 smaller replicas, real dinosaur bones and dozens of real West Virginia fossils. All this is augmented with several hands on learning activities including digging for fossils, building giant 3D dinosaur puzzles and an Augmented Reality Topographic Sandbox. In addition there is a dig for and keep real fossils sand pit, gem mining and large gift shop. We also offer Birthday Party space and activities and Field Trips for schools, clubs and scouts.
