The Syracuse CHildren's Chorus is a wonderful organization for motivated, musical students. Through SCC, children are able to develop excellent music skills through excellent directors and high-quality choral music. The young singers come to appreciate the value of music as a beautiful and powerful form of communication.

This is my daughter's first year with SCC and she has truly loved her experiences thus far. Her chorus director is outstanding. She engages the children and keeps them enthralled throughout their weekly 90-minute lessons. I cannot say enough great things about the breadth and depth of the musical education they are exposed to, from reading music, complicated chorale pieces, to breathing techniques and exercises. Having it on the Syacuse University campus at Crouse College is also a nice tradition and so exciting, too. Such a worthwhile chorus experence for the children and a wonderful gem for the Central New York community.

I was in the choir for 6 years, and my family has been involved since 2000. My siblings and I have all been in it and we are all musicians. SCC has been instrumental in my music life, I am a student at Eastman School of music and I attribute much of my interest in classical music to SCC. It gave me something to look forward to every week and performing with choirs is one of the most rewarding and exciting experiences a child can have.

My daughter has been in the Syracuse Childrens Choir for 2 years and not only have I have seen amazing improvement in her singing voice, but in her self-esteem and attitude. They expect that you will deliver high caliber work, and if you love to sing, you gladly give that. They do realize that these are children, and just the right balance of nurture is added into the mix. She is having a wonderful experience being part of this choir.

This is my daughter's first year as a member of the Syracuse Children's Chorus and we could not be more impressed. The musical/vocal instruction she receives is top quality, and her musical director makes rehearsals fun and interesting as well. The program also provides the participants valuable lessons on discipline and responsibility as part of a semi professional musical group. The administrative staff is skilled and well organized. Communications to parents occur regularly via email and website postings, and rehearsal and concert arrangements are well planned. These things make it easy for parents to follow through on chorus requirements. We couldn't be more pleased.

The Syracuse Children's Chorus is the best organization for children who wish to enhance their musical experience. Unlike school and church organizations, they are made up of children with exceptional talent who are serious about learning music. Many of the children who have been in the chorus have gone on to musical careers studying at colleges like Eastman, Syracuse University, and Julliard to name a few. They find a comraderie with other children of like talents and bring to the community a phenomenal experience in musicianship. In addition to their regularly secheduled concerts, they have performed at Children's hospital openings, weddings, funerals, and have been featured performers at places like Walt Disney World and Music Educators National Conference. The children have the opportunity for small group performances, solos, and charity performances. The Syracuse Children's Chorus helps develops these wonderful children with a wide variety of music from all across the world, performing them in the native languages, and teaching them an inner discipline that carries over into all facets of their lives. The Syracuse area is definitly blessed to have them as a part of their community.

Mu daughter is a 5th year member of the chorus and has loved every minute of it. She has had such wonderful experiences and opportunities, such as singning with the SSO to touring in Disney World. The music she has been exposed to has been wonderful. We really had a ball this christmas season listening to satellite radio and hearing Choir music that she has had the opportuity to perform over the years.

Syracuse Children's Chorus is a treasured resource is the Syracuse community. It offers unparalled musical education to children beginning in fourth grade through high school. The chorus offers progressive experience and three choir levels to students of various skills and backgrounds. They foster a high level of professionalism, excellence and personal achievement in the area of music education and performance. Their performances frequently premier music from highly saught after conductors and composers around the world. The chorus has a long history of touring both domestically and internationally. The experience has been nothing short of outstanding for our family and my choirster.
