Programs: Sustainable glasgow, inc. Educates and promotes the creation and maintenance of the local economy in the glasgow area. It sponsors a "bounty of the barren" farmers market and provides healthy eating through newspaper articles and an active website. During 2017 sustainable glasgow conducted a rural develpoment grant from the us department of agriculture for a feasibility study of a public parking lot in glasgow to serve as a permament home for the bounty of the barrens farmers market and for a cost study to construct a pavilion on the property.
