Very simply said, some years ago I was a single mother raising a child who had severe disabilities. My family were supportive and kind, but I also knew that I needed wide-ranging support and some experts to educate me. I heard of the Supported Life Institute and decided to attend some seminars, some conferences. How incredibly empowering it was! Along with the information which was credible and inspiring, the individuals I met were heroes to me, to help guide my way. The institute continues to provide outstanding conferences with exceptional teachers, and I am confident many more individuals and families are helped, supported, and live successful lives.

Supported Life Institute has been an excellent resource for me both as a special education teacher and as a parent of a son with disabilities. The two conferences each year provide researched - based information to professionals, families, and people with disabilities. The Inclusion Celebration before the October conference gives all a chance to network and celebrate honorees who have gone above and beyond to include people into their communities. My son is being served by CTEC, which has helped him to discover his voice which enables him to advocate for himself by using a communication devise. Supported Life Institute has made a tremendous difference for my family and the professionals that I work with.

The Supported Life Institute for 21 years has hosted the Inclusion Celebration that honors people who make a difference in the lives of individuals with disabilities. It acknowledges ordinary people creating communities of belonging that change lives one person at a time and celebrates living lives with possibilities. The stories at the celebration are always inspiring and resonate the process of inclusion.
My daughter has used the services of the CTEC team for many years and they have made a profound difference in her ability to use her communication tools which then allows her to live a meaningful life.
Their expertise and wisdom have given Meghan the opportunity to have a voice in her world that reflects her willingness of heart to be engaged and purposeful in her messages.
