CRH fills an absolutely critical role in the region by providing shelter, care, services, and hope to abused and neglected youth who often have no where else to turn. I am honored to serve on its board of directors.

We have always had terrific experiences volunteering and donating goodies for the kids - they are so appreciative of the community.
Amazing nonprofit organization providing mental health treatment services to youth in crisis. They are truly making an impact in our communities.
What an amazing place! Thank you for all that you have done for generations of children in need of care.
I have contributed to the Children's Receiving Home of Sacramento for the past 15 years. I couldn't be a more proud supporter of the great work that they do for many of Sacramento's most traumatized children. They have a lovely campus and I was most impressed that $.88 of every dollar goes towards providing services to children and their families.
The Children's Receiving Home provides high quality mental health services to children in the region who have been abused and neglect. More recently they have increased their service provision to children and teens living with their families who are experiencing depression, bullying and suicidal thoughts. Members of my family have used their services and rave about the care they received especially as one of the few mental health programs that continued to provide in person services during the pandemic. Thank you CRH!

The Children's Receiving Home of Sacramento provides outstanding mental health services to youth in the Sacramento region. While primarily being viewed as the emergency shelter for Sacramento County, this 76 year old private non profit organization also provides a day treatment program for youth living at home at risk of psychiatric hospitalization and a short term residential treatment program focused on returning youth to a family based setting as quickly and safely as possible. Both of these programs have continued to provide in person, face to face services to children and their families during the current pandemic which is truly commendable. Thank you CRH for supporting the lives of so many!
A wonderful place to help kids heal from myriad traumas - on their campus and out in the community with their terrific suicide-prevention program.
I started volunteering at CRH during the holiday's years ago and was so touch by the experience. I became a donor then joined a board committee and now I'm a board member. I value my work with CRH, without CRH I can't imagine where so meany of our severely abused kiddos would end up. CRH has many programs to help youth heal from their trauma and serves hundreds of youth annually. Thank you CRH for the very important work you do for our community.
CRH works very hard for the kids who need support and have been traumatized, abused, neglected, and worse. As a member of the Board, I can tell you how hard the board and staff work to help these kids overcome their trauma and move on to be productive, well-adjusted adults that live happy and fulfilling lives. This is not glamorous work; it's hard, and worth every minute of it! We are working to engage more people in the community to know what we do, and the kids that grow up and come back to help us because of the support they received at CRH are the greatest reward. I cannot think of another NGO in the region that does more to help children that really need it than CRH!
Children's Receiving Home is a valued and essential community resource as a place of healing and treatment for the area's most vulnerable children -- those who have suffered trauma, abuse and neglect. I have seen them operate up close for more than a decade, witnessed the care they deliver to hundreds of kids, many of them with nowhere else to turn.

Children's Receiving Home is a gold-plated community resource, caring for the region's most-vulnerable children at a critical time in their lives. Through a variety of services and treatments, CRH staff works tirelessly to help these children recover from traumatic personal crises. It's a difficult job because the youth often have suffered a lifetime of neglect and abuse. As a board member for more than a decade, I've seen this work take place and experienced, first-hand, how CRH staff and volunteers reach out and embrace these kids -- kids with no where else to go.
The Children's Receiving Home of Sacramento fills an invaluable role in the Sacramento region by caring for hard-to-place children and teenagers who have experienced abuse, neglect and/or trauma at the hands of those who were supposed to love them the most. Given their troubled histories, these youngsters frequently exhibit difficult behaviors. CRH staff are trained to handle their behavioral and mental health issues with care and compassion, providing healing and hope. Hundreds of children and teens are served by CRH each year. Without this crucial agency, many of its teens might be living on the streets or worse. CRH, which is nationally accredited, has performed its mission with integrity, respect and understanding for 76 years in Sacramento. As an added plus, relying on a nonprofit for these vital services has saved Sacramento County millions of dollars yearly that otherwise might be required for county-run residential shelter care.
It’s a place filled with stories of kindness, caring and empowerment - the kids often inspire each other, the staff lift each other up, the donor community makes it possible to see good in the face of heartbreak. CRH is a place of hope.
CRH constantly strives to bring the best to its kids by tapping in to many of the great resources of our community.
I was a resident here a few times in my childhood. This facility helped me heal and recover from the trauma I had endured at home. The staff treated me (us) as if I (we) were their own. There were plenty of things/ activities to keep us busy, which I really loved. I really hope to make an impact on children who have endured traumatic experiences, just like the staff here did for me.
CRH is doing amazing work in our community! I love knowing that this organization exists purely to uplift children and creat a safe place for them during some of their darkest days. Thank you to the hard working staff who make healing possible for these kids.

I love to hear stories from alumni who stayed at CRH and now have successful lives and families of their own. We all need to lift up our community's children!
CRH is a place for neglected and abused children within a large geographical region. I have had the opportunity to be involved with the Board of Directors and staff that care so much for these kids even when they are at their most vulnerable moments. It has proven to be a very tough environment with CRH going above and beyond to help the communities it serves.
Few nonprofits anywhere accomplish so much on behalf of abused and neglected children, and with such limited resources. Nearly 90 cents of every dollar donated to CRH goes directly to services for the children in its care. In its 75 years, the Receiving Home has served more than 75,000 Sacramento kids, wrapping them with care and services at the most traumatic times in their lives.
I’ve been volunteering here for 12 years. CRH changes lives of abused and traumatized children... including me! I lived there as a teenager. It changed my path and gave me the seeds of hope for an an amazing future! I hope you’ll join me in sharing hope to kids in crisis.
I know that the money I donate is going to have an immediate impact on the life of a child in need - CRH kids will always have a place in my heart!
There's nowhere like CRH - open around the clock, 365 days a year and ready to welcome youth suffering abuse or neglect with new clothes, home-cooked meals, transportation to and from school and customized treatment plans to set them up for success in the future.
Once I stepped into this place I immediately felt welcome. The staff is truly outstanding. They are so friendly and comforting. Their commitment and dedication is also inspiring. Only positive things to say about this children’s home.
The staff here work day and night to keep these children and teens safe and comfortable. CRH is doing amazing and important work in our community!
I'm so proud to be a staff member and donor to the Receiving Home. Our kids and teens are on a difficult journey by no fault of their own, and I love seeing their success.
I absolutely love what CRH is doing for the kids in our community. Every staff member that I've communicated with over the years has been so friendly and helpful. I also appreciate that the staff takes the time to have the kids make thank you cards for us donors. Thank you for all that you do!
Such a wonderful place to work and meet so many folks dedicated to helping kids through the absolutely worst time of their lives and find their paths forward!
CRH rocks! The staff are always there to listen and understand the kids, no matter what they're going through.
The company I work for has been volunteering with the Children's Receiving Home of Sacramento for years now and we have come to know the staff well. The staff and executive team put in tremendous effort to be a positive force in the lives of children when they need support and unconditional love the most, during turbulent times when they've had to be removed from their homes.
The positive impact this nonprofit has on our community is incredible. My team and I are always thrilled to be able to help such a wonderful nonprofit with an impactful mission.
