Nonprofit Overview
Causes: Children & Youth, Recreation & Sports, Sports, Youth Development, Youth Development Programs
Mission: At Summit Journeys, we harness the power of outdoor adventure to empower and guide youth and young adults. Through our programs, we strive to foster their ability to embrace uncertainty, fortify their determination to overcome challenges, and build resilience that will serve them throughout their lives.
Results: Since it's inception, Summit Journeys has served over 2100 youth by providing over 170 transformational outdoor adventures and experiences. Our most recent impact metrics from camp show we significantly lowered youth levels of depression and anxiety, and increased their adventure mindset. We have begun to expand our reach in Utah by partnering with companies and our community to allow us to serve more disadvantaged and under-served youth.
Target demographics: youth, young adults, families, youth groups, corporate groups, therapeutic and rehabilitation center programs.
Direct beneficiaries per year: over 2100 youth build resilience and courage as they experienced challenging and self-affirming outdoor adventures.
Geographic areas served: The state of Utah
Programs: transformational hiking, mountain biking, rock climbing, sailing, camp, kayaking, ropes courses, and other challenging journey experiences.
