Mission: To bring together those people interested in history, and especially the history of summit and surrounding area of the state of mississippi and to encourage that understanding the history of our community is basic to our democratic way of life, gives us a better understanding of our state and nation and promotes a better appreciation of our american heritage.
Programs: The society maintains a state historical landmark property known as the liberty-white depot museum located in the town of summit.
the society sponsors an art show & festival which reinforced the cultural and historical value of art.
the society sponsors an annual exhibition & tour of model trains & doll houses for school children and the public.
