Causes: Leadership Development
Mission: The summit community institute's mission is to apply creative solutions to real-world challenges related to the environment, education, the arts, health and social innovation.
Programs: The institute has helped build 15 miles of hiking and biking trails on powder mountain for public use. The institute has created and hosted a successful ocean conservation contest and partnered with an ocean-focused artists collaborative to educate people about the need to protect our oceans. We created and executed the first series of lab events, gathering experts on a social innovation topic and worked through a process to come up with solutions and actions to create change.
