Mission: Bringing the community together through the arts.
Programs: Summer solstice arts festival promotes the visual and performing arts. This is a three day festival that is the culmination of the paradeand the workshop that is run to provide a venue for the creation ofcostumes and floats. We also sponsor a childrens festival where kids can experience, art projects, as well as a performance stage geared specifically to kids with lots of fun activities.
the arts workshop provides a space, materials and artists in residence to facilitate the creation of costumes and floats for the annualparade.
the summer solstice parade is a unique event. The floats are allpushed by people, nothing motorized, and the materials used in the creation of the floats are recycled materials. There is no advertising of any kind allowed in the parade. It is purely anexpression of art and community.
