Mission: To use a rich combination of talent from nashville and broadway to bring classic and vibrant works of drama and musical theatre to life in middle tennessee; and to provide innovative educational programs designed to entertain, educate and inspire the rising artists of our unique community.
Programs: Studio tenn produced a full and vibrant six-show season of plays and musicals in 2016-2017, including original productions "the battle of franklin and "a studio tenn christmas", the play "the elephant man and the musical comedy "monty pythons spamalot" in the factory at franklin's jamison theater, a blockbuster production of "evita" at the tennessee performing arts center starring broadway powerhouses and tony award winners, and the original legacy series' sold-out production of "the cash legacy" at the ryman auditorium featuring grammy award-winning artists and nashville's best local talent. In addition to the six-show season, studio tenn presented "one night only" as its annual fundraising gala and online silent auction. All of these programs were successful in terms of both critics and audience reception, in total serving more than 15,000 ticketed patrons. We also continued to expand our gift of theatre program designed to break down financial barriers to underserved communities across presented a holiday concert as well as it's first ever all-youth co-production with the theater bug, the musical showmance.
