Causes: Health, Heart & Circulatory System Diseases & Disorders
Mission: Sseeo provides support and education for stroke survivors and their caregivers and supporters as well as stroke prevention education.
Programs: Sseeo provided the following program services during the fiscal year 2013-2014: educational presentations via "lunch and learn" program to 198 recipients with 100's able to listen via downloaded calls on sseeo website; 551 stroke survivors and family member reached through peer visitation, telephone support calls, and in-patient cva classes; 38 stroke support group presentations; 6 professional education presentations; printed 5050 brochures distributed by the organzation and also by sponsor hospitals in their discharge packets; 2 board members served on the illinois state-wide stroke task force; produced eighth annual stroke conference serving 58 attendees ; strong outreach through social media.
