Causes: Public & Societal Benefit
Mission: The organization's primary purpose is to provide services and support free of charge to stroke victims and their families.
Programs: Prevention services. Program staff educate on the effective steps of prevention and then supports the healthy behaviors that protect against stroke. Telephone help line staff and volunteers give advice, referrals and educational information and materials. Recovery services provide recovery education and support so survivors and families learn the many skills and adaptations needed to live well after stroke sooner, with guidance, rather than months or lears later, by trial and error.
