Mission: The mission of stop cmv - the cmv action network is to prevent and eliminate congenital cmv and to improve the lives of all people affected by congenital cmv. Stop cmv fosters congenital cmv awareness via internet and public awareness campaigns.
Programs: The purpose of stop cmv includes travel and meetings with local and national law makers and health officials to promote public awareness of the prevention and elimination of congenital cmv and as well as improving the lives of all people affected by congenital cmv. During 2014, representatives of stop cmv traveled to discuss promoting cmv awareness to legislators. Stop cmv representatives also attended meetings sponsored by the center for disease control to share information and ideas on the prevention of congenital cmv. Additionally, stop cmv maintains its web page with up-to-date information, articles and other resources to help all families effected by congenital cmv.
