Mission: THE PRIMARY MISSION OF STARR-GENNETT IS TO PROMOTE AND PRESERVE THE HISTORY OF GENNETT RECORDS AND THE STARR PIANO COMPANY.
Programs: Annual music festival held the first weekend after labor day to highlight the induction of Gennett musicians into the Walk of Fame. The Gennett Walk of Fame is an art installation that commemorates the numerous popular American music ioneers who recorded in Richmond in the 1920s. In collaboration with the Richmond Department of Parks and Recreation, the Starr-Gennett Foundation provides free or low cost public access to high quality cultural arts, including music and educational programs.
