Louis county sheriff's department both day and night at accident scenes, as well as fire, accident and malicious property damage prevention through public education. The rescue squad members donated a total of 22,759 hours in 2017. During 2017, the squad responded to 125 wilderness operations, 91 water operations, 129 vehicle accidents, 45 medical calls, and 40 other miscellaneous calls.
