Causes: Arts & Culture, Symphony Orchestras
Mission: The mission of the St. Louis Civic Orchestra is to promote and preserve the world’s greatest musical creations through live performances by exceptional musicians in the community.
Results: Each season sees performances with a variety of professional musicians from the area and beyond. In addition, collaborations with children and young adults (annual Young Artist competition).
Target demographics: Members of the community who enjoy and want to learn about classical music.
Direct beneficiaries per year: The Ritenour Co-Care Food Pantry by helping to raise funds at our annual winter holiday concert, held at the Ritenour high school auditorium.
Geographic areas served: The greater Saint Louis metropolitan area.
Programs: Partners in Parkway, collaborations with a St. Louis County school district including side by side performances at a concert each season, a school theater group has performed Peter and The Wolf, school choirs.
