Mission: Sravasti Abbey's mission is to nurture a flourishing monastic community where learning and practicing Buddha's ancient teachings cultivate peace in the hearts of the residents and visitors and, by extension, in the world.
Results: Numerous teachings and retreats at the Abbey; six resident monastics, studying and practicing full-time; offering teachings in U.S. cities, Mexico, Singapore, Malaysia, & India; Dharma teachings added daily to the YouTube and longer weekly teachings on blip.tv; prison Dharma program; interfaith dialogues; forest preservation program.
Target demographics: Anyone interested in knowing more about the Buddha's teachings for developing love, compassion& peace of mind, overcoming anger and other disturbing emotions.
