Mission: The speech and hearing center provides comprehensive diagnostic and therapeutic services to persons of all ages who may have speech, language, voice or hearing problems.
Programs: Audiology: hearing evaluations, screenings, auditory brainstem response tests, cochlear implant referrals, fm systems for schools, hearing aid sales & orientation, consultations, public education presentations, hearing aid repairs & programming, custom ear plugs & swim plugs, and earmolds. During the year 2013, 3,433 individuals were provided these services by the center.
speech: consultations, screenings, speech-language evaluations, behavioral feeding evaluations, public education presentations, school in-service programming, standardized developmental assessments, auditory verbal therapy, aural re/habilitation, and therapy for speech-language & feeding disorders. During the year 2013, 3,169 individuals were provided these services by the center.
program for preschool hearing impaired children, including speech and language development, on-going hearing assessment and family counseling. During the year 2013, 16 children were enrolled in this program.
industrial audiology services: establishment and management of hearing conversation programs, in-plant hearing testing, sound level readings, workers comp claims, work-related hearing evaluations, custom ear plugs, and audiogram review. During the year 2013, 12,298 individuals were served by the center.
