Mission: Spectrum's mission is to engage emplower, and advocate for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people.
Programs: Spectrum provides an array of outreach, education and advocacy services for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (lgbt) people in marin, sonoma, and napa counties, with a focus on support and advocacy for lgbt youth and seniors. Major activities include twice-monthly support group for lgbt youth ages 14-19, a support group and luncheon series for lgbt seniors and information and referral about, and to, service providers who are accepting of lgbt people. In-service training are offered for providers serving lgbt youth and seniors. Community outreach and education programs increase community awareness and addresses stigma, bias, and anti-gay bullying. Working with teachers and administrators in miidle and high schools, spectrum provides anti-bias training and support for students, parents, and school staff.
