Causes: Developmentally Disabled Centers, Disabilities, Human Services
Mission: To support, encourage, and teach individuals with developmental disabilities (self-advocates) to advocate for themselves in all areas of their lives.
Programs: To enable self-advocates to keep in contact with other self-advocates throughout the state of maine and nationally. To ensure that the proper support is available for self-advocates. To promote and support the creation of self-advocacy groups throughout the state of maine. To educate self-advocates about their rights. To train and support self-advocates in speaking up for themselves and speaking up for their rights.
