Mission: The Southern Arizona Watercolor Guild’s mission is to advance and develop watercolor as an important painting medium and to provide educational and cultural benefits for our members and interested supporters of our community.
Target demographics: to advance and develop watercolor as an important painting medium and to provide educational and cultural benefits for our members and interested supporters of our community.
Geographic areas served: Tucson and the surrounding southern Arizona region
Programs: Art shows online and in the gallery to display and offer art for sale, reward excellence and stimulate community interest; two large ongoing shows every year plus smaller shows; sponsorship of the Western Watercolor Federation show held every 10 years in Tucson. Host workshops designed to develop and enhance watercolor skills featuring locally and nationally recognized artists and a scholarship program to reward artistic achievement in high school seniors. Contributions to the Angel Fund program are designed to support needy members. It will pay dues or show entry fees for members who would not otherwise be able to maintain their membership or participate in guild shows.
