Mission: Selsar provides equipment and personnel in the event of an emergency in southeast louisiana. Selsar also offers a wide range of services including aviation, diving, legal, medical, hazmat, and other training to aide in the repsonse to emergencies.
Programs: Southeast louisiana search and rescue (selsar) issued severe weather advisories/warnings to its members during 2010 & was on alert for tropical storms and hurricanes. Selsar was available to respond with mobile command units at the request of the state or local authorities. In addition, selsar made its fire & rescue units available to the fire department, which operated them in support of its mission to serve the public.
