SARAH has made significant impacts on San Antonio & Bexar County, especially given its relatively young organization life so far. SARAH has been a foundation and a centering force, among many other things, for both the organizations in our network as well as the people we all serve. Causes: Homeless & Housing, Homeless Centers, Human Services
Mission: We exist to ensure everyone has a place to call home in San Antonio and Bexar County.
Results: • Helped launch our community's first Coordinated Homelessness Prevention Response • Coordinated with SAHA & HABC to distribute 315 Emergency Housing Vouchers • Led our Housing Surge Initiative, where our community made 660 permanent housing placements in the last five months of 2021 • Diverted 301 households from homelessness in 2021 through our Diversion program • Elevated the need for more Permanent Supportive Housing through involvement in the Strategic Housing Implementation Plan (SHIP) and 2022 Housing Bond • Awarded the largest Youth Homelessness Demonstration Program (YHDP) grant in the nation ($6.88 million) • Increased San Antonio/Bexar County's HUD funding by almost $4 million over the last five years • In partnership with the City of San Antonio, USAA, and veteran service providers achieved the effective end of veteran homelessness in 2016 based on national federal benchmarks

Direct beneficiaries per year: 1,848 referrals to housing through Homelink, 301 households successfully diverted from homelessness, 243 youth & young adults referred to Youth Homelessness Demonstration Projects, decreased wait time from Homelink Referral to Housing Placement by 31%
