Mission: Founded in 1990, Sounds of Hope, Ltd. started with a simple idea - unite young children from countries worldwide to make music together. From this idea sprang the Songs of Hope project. Each summer, the project creates a community of children aged 10-12 from 7-10 countries worldwide and the U.S. While living together, the children develop a concert series of songs, dances, percussion, and folk dress from their countries and cultures. SOHO is dedicated to teaching the positive aspects of cultural differences, through Songs of Hope concerts, educator workshops teaching international music, and distribution of international music kits for educators.
