Mission: Soulsville's mission is to restore a unique and defining asset to the character of the City of Memphis that will create a positive platform for its people's prosperity and development.
Target demographics: Inner-city youth, neighborhood revitalization, preserving the legacy of Stax Records
Direct beneficiaries per year: 700 middle and high school students with music and rigorous academics. Our Soulsville Charter School has 100 percent college acceptance rate with 188 seniors so far, all accepted to college with more than $20 in scholarships and grants. Our music students have performed in Italy, Australia, Berlin, Lincoln Center, Kennedy Center, and more.
