The Sonoran Arts League is a wonderful organization!!! I love being a part of it and it has given me an "artist home" throughout the years being a member. The league activities were one of the reasons we bought the home we did. We wanted to be close enough to be involved in their major fund raiser, Hidden in the Hills.
We've met most of our friends through the League or league activities. That is a huge plus. It also gives me a sense of belonging, which is so nice when you move to a new community. We've lived here 4 1/2 years now and life is good!!! The Sonoran Arts league played a big role in making that so!!!

Mission: To give to our community by promoting art, artists, and art education through leadership and service in the belief that artistic awareness is essential to the well-being of life and our community.
Target demographics: The local community, Youth, Veterans and local artists
Geographic areas served: The Desert Foothills of Arizona, Cave Creek, Carefree and North Scottsdale
Programs: Hidden in the Hills Artist Studio Tour, our signature event that offers the opportunity for the public to learn about artists’ techniques from 192 artists at 45 Host Studio venues; Empty Bowls Project, benefiting the Foothills Food Bank in support of World Hunger Day; scholarships for graduating high school Seniors and summer scholarships for Youth art camps; art events, mentoring and workshops for the youth; Art in Public Places, bringing free art events and exhibits to the general public (in partnership with local towns and municipalities); Veteran Art Program, free art classes and exhibits for military veterans; and art classes, workshops, and seminars for community members.
