Mission: A group comprised of companies from the electronics industry with the mission of accelerating silicon-on-insulator (soi) innovation into broader markets by promoting the technical and commercial benefits of soi technology and reducing barriers to its adoption.
Programs: The soi industry consortium promotes the growth and develoment of the soi industry throughout the value chain by providing a platform for information dissemination, communication, and collaborative innovation. It works to enable the extensive use of soi design and technology by removing economic and technical barriers and by accelerating innovation. Its goal is to amplify the value to the end customer; to prove technology solutions, accelerate roadmaps and drive time to market. It serves as an effective voice for the soi industry by promoting its use by educating new users in new applications and markets. The organization held 3 forums related to these objectives during fiscal year 2017.
